Harrison, AR, December 10, 2019. Brandon Cone, spokesperson for Class XXXI of the Boone County Leadership Institute (BCLI), sponsored by Kinetics by Windstream, announced today that the class will present the monetary results of one of their community projects, Photos with Santa, to the Harrison Police Department (HPD) on Friday, December 13th at 10am at the HPD Headquarters. The monies collected from the event held on the Historic Harrison Square on Monday, December 2nd, will go toward the HPD’s Shop With A Cop Program, providing local youth with a shopping trip, who would normally be unable to have a Christmas without this important program.
Holly Carson, Independent Living, Inc., a member of BCLI Class XXXI, said, ‘Our leadership class thoroughly enjoyed taking children’s photos with Santa this past week. We had as much fun as the kids did! We’re glad we can contribute to the police department’s worthy Shop With A Cop Program this holiday season.’
‘We appreciate the Boone County Leadership Institute’s help with their donation to our Shop With A Cop program this year,’ said HPD Sergeant Jacob Mills. ‘The proceeds from their community project will enable us to help more Harrison-area children enjoy this Christmas.’
