Community Blood Center of the Ozarks

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization committed to providing the highest quality blood and blood products to area hospitals at the lowest cost. All blood and products transfused to patients in 38 hospitals in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas come from CBCO donors. CBCO collects blood at four donor centers located in Springfield, MO; Joplin, MO; Springdale, AR; and Bentonville, AR. CBCO also hosts mobile blood drives throughout the region each day during the year. Because we are a not-for-profit organization, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks only recovers the cost incurred in the donation, testing and distribution of blood and blood products. CBCO is a member of America’s Blood Centers, a network of independent blood centers that provides over half of the nation’s blood supply, and is fully accredited by AABB.
