Harrison, AR, August 14, 2020. The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomes Jason Patience as a new Director on its Board, replacing Director Michelle Rost, departing to concentrate on her thriving Nature’s Wonders business in Harrison, and now, Branson.

Melissa Collins, principal broker at Weichert, Realtors-Market Edge, and chair of the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce Board, proudly announces that Jason Patience has been elected to the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Collins said, “While we’re disappointed to see Michelle depart, it is so wonderful to see her entrepreneurial business grow. And we’re thrilled to welcome Jason to the Board. His community involvement and industry experience will be of great value in this important leadership position.”

“I am humbled to be considered and excited to be working with the Chamber board. I’ve witnessed the organization’s refocus toward economic, business and community development work the past 15 months at Wabash National and I look forward to lending any help I can going forward,” said Patience. A 2010 graduate of the Boone County Leadership Institute, he added, “…gave me a broad look into how the community works, and now using that knowledge to give back is just super.”

Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Bob Largent said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jason since he became the Wabash plant manager last year, and found him always engaged, insightful, and thoughtful. He’ll be using his team-based problem-solving skills now in the board room and will be a great asset to Chamber leadership team we’re so fortunate to have.”

Patience, plant manager of Wabash National’s Harrison operations since May 2019, married to Shelia with three daughters and a son, and a Harrison resident since 1994, brings a wealth of production and manufacturing experience to the Wabash plant. Earning an associate’s degree from North Arkansas College in 2008, and later a bachelor’s degree in business management from Western Governors University, he is an active CASA volunteer, a member of the Harrison High School Advisory Board, and the Head Start Policy Council.
