Warriors Retreat exists to honor and empower Veterans by providing safe, affordable housing and a supportive community where they can heal, thrive, and rebuild their futures. We believe no Veteran should ever be left without a place to call home or without the camaraderie that once gave their life structure and meaning. The Warriors Retreat Harrison community features 14 completed homes, consisting of seven duplexes that provide 14 private living spaces. Each thoughtfully designed 400-square-foot unit includes one bedroom, one full bathroom, a cozy living area, and a functional kitchen—offering both comfort and independence. These homes are intentionally created to provide dignity and privacy while still fostering a strong sense of community among residents. At the center of the property is a community hub that encourages connection, fellowship, and shared experiences. This space also offers convenient on-site laundry and gathering areas where residents can build relationships and support one another. Warriors Retreat goes beyond housing by offering comprehensive wraparound services tailored to each Veteran’s needs. These services include mental health support, substance abuse recovery resources, transportation assistance, vocational rehabilitation, and peer mentorship. On-site staff and Veteran peer leaders help maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming environment. Through strong partnerships with veteran service organizations and local community providers, Warriors Retreat delivers coordinated and personalized care. The organization also distributes in-kind donations directly to Veterans and maintains the ability to acquire land and housing assets to expand its mission and develop future Veteran communities. Warriors Retreat is more than a housing initiative—it is a place of restoration, purpose, and belonging where Veterans are supported as they transition from surviving to thriving.
